Winter Season Registration

For our Winter Season, we are offering flag football, volleyball, soccer, baseball, basketball and girls softball.

**We use your child’s age on Dec 31, 2019!**


Game locations below are our normal locations but are subject to change

  • Central Mesa ($75/child) – Val Vista and Broadway (Back Up Location Franklin at Brimhall)
  • Southeast Mesa ($75/child) – Signal Butte and Ray
  • Northeast Mesa ($75/child) – Signal Butte and Broadway
  • Gilbert ($75/child) – Warner and Recker
  • Chandler ($75/child) – Chandler Heights & Cooper
  • Queen Creek ($75/child) – Queen Creek Middle School or Combs Middle School


  • Oct 20 – Nov 16 – Early registration
  • Nov 17 – Nov 30 – Normal registration
  • Dec 1 – Dec 14 – Late registration
  • December 14th – registration closes
  • December 28th – rosters finalized
  • Jan 4th – parent meeting
  • Jan 18th – games begin
  • Feb 29th –  end of season


Some age groups not available at some locations

  • Soccer – 3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12
  • Flag Football – 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-13
  • Volleyball – 7-9, 10-11, 12-14
  • Basketball – 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12
  • Baseball – 3-4, 5-6, 7-9, 10-12
  • Girls Softball – 7-9, 10-12


  • Practice times and locations are arranged at the coach’s discretion. Each team practices when and where they choose.
  • *AZYS does not provide teams with practice locations during the Winter season*


  • Soccer – Tournament style (for older divisions only)
  • Flag football – Tournament style (beginner to advanced)
  • Volleyball – Tournament style (beginner to advanced)
  • Basketball – Tournament style (beginner to advanced)
  • Baseball/Softball – Rec style (beginner – intermediate)


  • Soccer – shin guards, black shorts, shoes, soccer ball. Cleats and soccer socks are optional.
  • Flag Football – mouthguard, black pants/shorts, shoes, football. Cleats are optional.
  • Volleyball – knee pads, black shorts, shoes, volleyball.
  • Basketball – mouthguard, basketball shoes, black shorts, basketball.
  • Baseball – black pants/shorts, shoes, glove, batting helmet. Bat and balls are optional.
  • Girls Softball – black pants/shorts, shoes, glove, batting helmet. Bat and balls are optional.

Team Shirts are provided to all players. Hats are provided to Baseball/Softball only.

Please view the rules for the appropriate sized ball needed for your player.


We are always looking for new parent coaches. Please consider volunteering to coach your child’s team!

Many teams will play 1-2 away games during the season.  These are generally within 5-8 miles away from your home game location. All games are in the East Valley.


Full refunds may be issues if requested BEFORE rosters are released. From then on, only future credits are awarded.

    Extra Camps and Training

    We will be running our speed and agility camp before the season begins.  This camp will improve your child's speed and agility 5-30% in just 5 weeks!  Visit our speed and agility registration page to sign up!

    Agree to League Policies

    • I understand that this is a recreational youth sports league that uses parent-volunteers as coaches. 
    • I understand that, although most teams will have coaches when rosters are sent out, some may not and a parent will need to step up to coach. 
    • I understand that practice times may not be convenient and that I may need to adjust my schedule to make things work (when possible, the league will try to move you to a different team, but there are no guarantees). 
    • I understand that practice locations must be acquired by each team and that the league does not provide practice facilities (the league will suggest great practice locations for your team).
    • I understand that if I register multiple kids, practices may conflict and games may conflict.
    • I understand that I will need to purchase a new jersey if my child's jersey becomes lost or damaged. 
    • I understand that my team may play travel games this season.
    • I understand that there are no refunds for any reason once rosters are sent out. 
    • I understand that the league will grant my child's registration be rolled over to a future season if a) my child suffers an injury in the first half of the season and can no longer participate b) I request a future credit prior to the first game.
